Notes on Ingredients
- Raisins: You could use chopped dates or dried cranberries in place of raisins. You could also sub chocolate chips for an extra sweet twist!
- Oats: Rolled oats work best for this recipe because of their thick and chewy texture. Quick cook oats would work as well.
- Banana: Adds natural sweetness to the bites without any added sugar.

Can you freeze
Janet Goble says
Could you use frozen or fresh blueberries, instead of dried fruit. I’m on a sugar free, flour free plan.
Danielle Brown says
I do not think that would work well, it would be too wet. Try raisins without any sweetener.

I had a Stroke on my 72 bday recently. I promised myself that I would start to make changes in what i eat. I am not overweight except for 5 lbs but I still have high blood pressure. I cut out all sweets and cookies but still crave somekind of snack once a day. So I made your banana balls and it’s the perfect snack for my once a day craving. THANK YOU!!!!!

I’m a teacher and I made these for my class! They were a hit. I did however bake them a tiny bit longer than the recipe said to get them firmer, but my oven is finicky so that’s likely the reason. What a delicious healthy snack, thank you for sharing!

These are spectacular, Danielle! Waaaay better than I expected them to be. There are so many recipes online, even simple ones, that look good but just don’t come together well… this one’s a keeper.

Cutting out added sugar but was having a horrible desert craving. This hit the spot. Cut in third to use up a lone banana and made seven medium sized bites.
