Notes on Ingredients
- Banana: You can use frozen or fresh banana. If using fresh, be sure your blueberries and pineapple are frozen so the smoothie is cold and thick enough.
- Blueberries: If you can get frozen wild blueberries, wild are going to be sweeter and higher in antioxidants. Regular frozen blueberries are fine though.
- Maca: Maca powder is amazing for hormone health & stress relief. You can’t taste it!
- Almond Milk: One cup of any non-dairy milk will work. Soy milk would add more protein! I use organic and unsweetened.

Commonly Asked Questions
Sure! I like to add HGK x Wellious Chocolate PB Protein to my smoothies. No chalky aftertaste and no bloat.
Frozen fruit makes the smoothie thick and cold. It doesn’t all have to be frozen but at least one of the fruits should be. If you aren’t using any frozen fruit at all, then you’ll need to add at least one handful of ice cubes.
Yes, a blender is required because of the frozen fruit contents. If you don’t have a blender, try my Nature’s Gatorade, Antioxidant Berry Muffin Baked Oatmeal, or Protein Brownie Overnight Oats instead!
