Notes on Ingredients
- Orange Juice: Orange juice is high in vitamin C and provides sweetness and tanginess in this smoothie. You can sub OJ with coconut water, non dairy milk, or water.
- Hemp Seeds: A source of healthy fats in this smoothie will keep your blood sugar stable and keep you fuller for longer. You could substitute with another kind of seed you prefer like chia or flax seeds.
- Spinach: Substitute spinach with kale or any greens you have on hand.

Commonly Asked Questions
Ideally, yes. This will make your smoothie a creamy and thick texture. Frozen fruit is also cheaper than fresh, so it’s a savings! If you only have fresh fruit on hand, you can use it and add ice to make the smoothie cold and thick.
I would recommend making “smoothie bags” where you put all of the ingredients (except liquid) in a reusable baggie or storage container, place in the freezer, and then when you are ready, remove from freezer, add the baggie contents to a blender along with the liquid and blend.
I love Siggi’s plant-based yogurt. Any plant-based brand works! I opt for plain/unsweetened options as the fruit in this smoothie will sweeten it enough!
I’d have Meal Prep Orzo Salad for lunch and Debloat Detox Vegetable Soup for dinner. I always need a sweet treat, no matter what, so I would enjoy a Healthy Sweet Potato Brownie.
