Authentic 5-Minute Guacamole

I am obsessed with guacamole and make it all the time for Mexican night at my house. Not to toot my own horn, but I make a BOMB guac. 

You will only need a few simple ingredients: avocado, cilantro, lime, tomato, onion, jalepenos, and garlic! Freaking YUM!

Authentic 5-Minute Guacamole

Guacamole Questions: 

How do I prevent the guacamole from turning brown?! 

When you store it in the fridge, leave 1 avocado pit in the container and squeeze extra lime juice over top, this should prevent it from browning! 

I don’t like tomatoes, can I leave them out?!

Sure! You can omit the tomatoes and it will still be so yum.

What can I pair with this guacamole?

Chips, veggies, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, homemade burrito bowls, salads, etc! 

What kind of chips do you recommend?

I love cassava grain-free chips, they’re delicious and made from cassava root flour instead of corn. Easier to digest.

Authentic 5-Minute Guacamole

Creamy, fresh, zesty, spicy homemade authentic guacamole that only takes 5-minutes and tastes like a restaurant.

Prep Time 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe avocados not too hard or mushy
  • 1 cup chopped cilantro I use Josie's Organics
  • 3 limes juiced
  • 3/4 cup diced tomato optional
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped jarred jalepenos mild or spicy
  • 3 tbsp brine from jalepeño jar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, add the avocados first. I like to use a potato masher. Mash them well.
  • Add the rest of the ingredients, stir until combined.
  • Enjoy with veggies, chips, on a salad, in tacos, etc!

Notes

Stores well in the fridge for up to 3 days. The lime juice prevents it from turning brown.
