Healthy Snack Haul: What I Ordered from Thrive Market

After hearing so many great things about Thrive Market, a health-focused, online grocery store, that sells healthy foods at a discount, I thought I would try it for myself. Thrive gives you a free, 1-month trial and always has so many coupons which is perfect if you just want to try it out before committing to the yearly fee.

I literally live directly across the street from Trader Joe’s, so for convenience purposes, I tend to buy all of my groceries/produce there. However, I wanted to order some fun healthy snacks to keep around! I am always on the go and need quick + easy snacks to throw in my purse, or take with me to work. Thrive really came in as the MVP. Here is a list of everything I got!

1. Simple Mills Crackers

I love these crackers because they have minimal healthy ingredients (Almonds, Sunflower Seeds, Flax Seeds, Tapioca, Cassava, Organic Sunflower Oil, Sea Salt, Organic Onion, Organic Garlic, Rosemary Extract) and are vegan and gluten-free! These crackers are also high in omega 3’s. Having some of these with some avocado or hummus makes for a great little snack. Always read the ingredient label when you’re buying something in a box. If you can’t pronounce the ingredients, don’t buy it!

2. Organic Dried Mango

Dried mango is an awesome snack – it has vitamin C and vitamin A and has great fiber content which aids in digestion. Just throw a bag of these in your kid’s lunch or your purse, or have a few pieces as an after dinner sweet treat. When buying dried mango, be sure to read the ingredients because a lot of brands will add sugar, oil, preservatives or fillers. Make sure the ingredients only say “mango”. Fun fact, a serving of these provides 10% of your daily iron! Who knew mango had iron?!

3. Organic Granola Options

Thrive has a ton of great organic, low sugar, clean granola and cereal options. There are also gluten-free, grain-free, and nut-free options for those that need it. I love adding a sprinkle of granola top of my coconut yogurt or even on banana “nice” cream. Oats are rich in fiber and great for heart-health.

4. Better Buckwheat Buckwheat Crisps

I also love getting the Better Buckwheat crackers made from buckwheat. They are gluten and grain-free and come in a few really delicious flavors like Savory Fig & Thyme and Olive & Za’atar. I love dipping them in cashew cheese spread.

5. YumEarth Organic Candy

Before I started my healthy lifestyle, I LOVED candy. I don’t eat it anymore, but I’ve found healthier alternatives! YumEarth makes natural, vegan, gluten-free candy without any yucky additives or artificial colors. If you want to bring a healthier candy alternative to the movies, need Halloween candy, or want to get your kids a treat, definitely try these! They have gummy bears, licorice, lollipops, “skittles” and more.

6. Thrive Market Movie Theatre Popcorn Kernels

Your typical run-of-the-mill microwave popcorn is going to be filled with oil, additives and artificial ingredients. I love buying this oil-free, clean, non-GMO popcorn kernels and making it myself at home. There is only ONE ingredient: yellow popcorn kernels. It’s a high fiber, high volume snack you can enjoy and feel good about afterwards. I love buying snacks from the “Thrive Market” brand because they’re cheaper and great quality.

7. Snack Bars

Thrive Market carries a bunch of awesome snack bar brands like Lara Bar, Go Macro, Skout Organics, Once Upon a Farm, Yumster, YUMI, Tosi, Sweet Nothings, and more. I love stocking up on my favorite toddler-friendly snacks for my 3-year-old that I can actually feel good about giving him.

8. Grain Free Tortilla Chips

Usually, chips are made with low-quality vegetable oils but Thrive has a ton of options made with avocado oil! I especially love the Siete cassava chips along with the Jackson’s sweet potato chips for my toddler’s lunches.

9. Coconut Water

I love drinking coconut water throughout the day, making nature’s gatorade with it, or adding it to my smoothies. The Thrive Market brand of Organic Coconut Water is one of my favorites because it’s a great price, it’s 100% organic, and is made without any additives.
