For those of you who don’t know, pitaya is dragon fruit. A tropical, delicious, beautiful fruit with TONS of health and wellness benefits. Can we just talk about how pretty this smoothie is?

Also, the color is just magnificent. This pitaya smoothie fills me energy and revitalizes me in the morning.

If you need an energy boost and want to feel ALIVE, I would highly recommend trying this smoothie for breakfast or for a mid-day pick-me-up.

Furthermore, as a health coach, I definitely recommend having a smoothie in the morning. Fueling your body with fruit and superfoods is so important!

Dragon fruit contains phytonutrients and antioxidants that work to prevent disease and repair any cellular damage in the body.

In addition, dragon fruit actually rejuvenates the liver, improves eye sight, strengthens the immune system, increases low iron levels, fights chronic disease, and promotes a healthy gut. Furthermore, pitaya is amazing for clearing up skin.

Also, if you have acne, eczema or psoriasis, try adding pitaya into your daily diet and watch your skin heal from the inside out.

If you’re in a cold climate and a smoothie doesn’t appeal to you, I totally understand! Try exercising and getting a good sweat session in first, then you’ll be ready for a nice smoothie to cool yourself down.

Vegan Pitaya Smoothie

This plant-based, gluten-free, soy-free pitaya smoothie is perfect for detoxing, weight loss, healthy living, clearing skin and energy! 
total time 5 minutes

the ingredients

  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 cup frozen mango
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple
  • 1 packet pitaya plus
  • 1 tsp maca powder
  • 1.5 cups almond milk
  • 1 tbsp hemp seeds optional


  • Add all ingredients to blender and blend.
  • Enjoy!
