I see this recipe has rolled oats in it but you are listing it as gluten free. What rolled oats are you using which are GF. We have been told we are not allowed wheat rye oats or barley as coeliacs
Danielle Keith says
I just buy gluten-free rolled oats – they sell them everywhere! 🙂 Just make sure that when you buy the oats they say gluten-free on them.
Denise says
A great gluten free snack! I used the total amount of maple syrup and added extra choc chips to dough instead of putting on outside.
Danielle Keith says
OMG! I am so happy you made them and loved them!
brenda gleason says

Krystal says
I cant stand it when people ask me replacement questions, but I’m about to do it! So forgive me! What can I use in place of “sugars”? Dates maybe? The same ratio?
Danielle Keith says
It’s ok! I am here to answer any question you have. You can try using date sugar!
Lauren says
Can you make these without the peanut butter?
Danielle Keith says
You can try almond butter instead but yes you need nut butter!
Malini says
What kind of peanut butter is used? WFPB one? Can we omit the maple syrup n use more dates? Do the oats blend up (can I use steel cut instead)? Thanks
Danielle Keith says
Yes its WFPB! Its just peanuts. I use trader joes organic creamy peanut butter. It’s no oil no sugar.
Danielle Keith says
The maple syrup is essential and I haven’t tried using steel cut but I would use rolled.
