If you have a sweet tooth or love candy, you have to try the Viral Snickers Stuffed Dates… believe me, they’re viral for a reason! Dates are the perfect caramel-like chewy base, without the refined sugar or dairy. Other desserts you will love are Vegan GF Carrot Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Nature’s Gatorade, and Black Bean Brownies.
Why I Love This Recipe
- Refined Sugar Free: Most desserts, especially candy, are filled with high fructose corn syrup and cane sugar. These “snickers” are sweetened naturally with a base of medjool dates. I also make Healthy Twix Bars!
- Crowd Favorite: Make these for a family party or get-together and I promise everyone will love them!
- Gluten Free: The Viral Snickers Stuffed Dates are gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar free.
- No-Bake: I love a no-bake dessert recipe. These come together in 15 minutes before chilling in the fridge for 30. So easy!

Notes on Ingredients
- Dates: I like to use medjool dates–I find them sweetest, biggest, and with the best chewy texture but any variety of dates will work. Be sure to pit them.
- Peanut Butter: Use a creamy (or crunchy) natural peanut butter with no added oils or sugar.
- Chocolate Chips: To keep this dessert fully refined sugar free, use date-sweetened chocolate chips or stevia-sweetened chocolate.

Commonly Asked Questions
I’d recommend storing them in the fridge. The chocolate hardens but the dates stay soft and chewy. If you want them to last longer, you can store them in the freezer.
Sure! Replace the peanut butter with a seed butter (like sunflower) and omit the peanuts on top. They’ll be just as delicious! You can also swap peanut butter for any other nut butter.
I like to add the peanut butter to a plastic Ziploc baggie, snip off a corner, and pipe it into the center of each date. You can also just use a spoon and add a little scoop to the center of each.
“Literally my favorite dessert of all time. I make a big batch of them at the start of the week (so easy to make) and they last quite awhile.”
