Silver Fern Protein Powder
I added Silver Fern chocolate protein powder to this recipe. Their protein powders are 100% plant-based – they contain digestive enzymes and probiotics for optimal digestion and gut health support.
As a health coach, I am always preaching the importance of gut health so when I found this protein powder that also had probiotics, I was beyond excited.
A female founded company, Silver Fern has a mission to spread the message of good health, one gut at a time! Did you know that 70% of our immunity stems from our gut? I highly recommend eating a plant-based diet in combination with taking a probiotic and eating probiotic rich foods.
I have to be honest, after just a few weeks of adding this protein powder to my morning smoothie and to my chia pudding, my digestion is even better!
If you feel like you need a protein boost, or a great pre/post workout meal this is perfect for you. This recipe makes about 2 servings of pudding.
Also, the protein adds an extra 10 grams per serving. I love this pudding as breakfast, as a snack or even as dessert! The added protein helps to keep you full for hours.
Toppings
I topped my vegan chocolate protein pudding with some raspberries and blueberries but you can add whatever you like.
Eat it plain or top it with cacao nibs, chocolate chips, coconut whipped cream, shredded coconut, fruit, nut butter, or chopped nuts.
If you like to have your food meal prepped, this is the perfect recipe to prep at the beginning of the week and add into little mason jars. The pudding should be good for up to 3 days.
A lot of protein powders on the market contain artificial ingredients, dairy and chemicals.
I really love how this protein has clean ingredients like quinoa protein, sunflower protein, hemp protein and the best part…no added sugar! It is only sweetened with stevia and monk fruit.
The secret ingredient that makes this pudding “pudding-like”, is chia seeds! Instead of a traditional chia pudding, I actually blended this in a blender to get a smooth consistency.
In addition, this homemade pudding is literally my new obsession. I don’t know about you but I always crave something sweet after dinner. A few bites of this pudding and it totally satisfies my sweet tooth.

Hi, do you need to soak the chia seeds for this choc protein pudding or just add them to the mixture dry?
Thanks
You don’t have to soak them!
This recipe was amazing. You’d never know that it was so healthy and it got completely smooth in the vitamix!
I can’t get this particular protein powder. Recipe says to sub for cacao.
Would I just use raw cacao?
Do I then also add the 1.5 tablespoons aswell?
yes, correct! any cacao powder works.
1/2 cup cacao if I don’t have the protein powder and add to that another 1.5 tbsp cacao powder?
Could you clarify for me please.
Nayah
Yes, you are correct!
