Vegan Chickpea "Chicken" Nuggets
Add chickpeas to food processor
Drain and rinse chickpeas and add them to a food processor.
Add oat flour
Add oat flour or any flour to the food processor with the chickpeas.
Add chickpea liquid
Add chickpea liquid and spices like garlic and salt. The chickpea liquid is called aquafaba!
Pulse until combined
Pulse until combined! Do not over blend. You don't want it to be mushy.
Form into nuggets
Form the chickpea nugget mixture into nugget shapes!
Dip in chickpea liquid
Instead of egg wash, dip the nuggets in chickpea liquid, or aquafaba.
Roll in breadcrumbs
Roll the nuggets in breadcrumbs of choice! I used gluten-free almond crumbs.
Air fry or bake until crispy!
