Vegan Baked Polenta Fries

Vegan Baked Polenta Fries. OMG!

If you’re looking for a new kind of fry that’s different from potato fries…look no further! You have to try my new recipe for polenta fries. Polenta is made from cornmeal which gives these fries a really yummy texture. Soft on the inside, crispy on the outside.

I baked these fries and made them without any added oil. I simply seasoned them with spices, popped them in the oven and baked for 30 minutes and bam…delicious fries in under 30 minutes.

I dipped my vegan baked polenta fries in organic ketchup – I like the one from Trader Joe’s because it doesn’t have any high fructose corn syrup and only has 2 grams of organic sugar per serving. Pretty good for ketchup if you ask me!

Polenta fries are going to be your new favorite addition to dinner – or even such a yummy snack. I love making these as an appetizer for when guests come over. Pair with any dipping sauces you like and you have the easiest appetizer ever.

Kids love these too! Polenta gets very crispy when baked at a high temperature in the oven so they’re just as crispy as fries that come out of a fryer.

Could these be any more perfect? The inside is soft + creamy and the outside has the perfect crisp texture. I suggest baking these at 450 degrees so you can get that ultimate crispiness.

The best bonus for polenta fries is that polenta is super cheap. I got a whole package of ready made polenta for $1.99. Such a steal!

For this recipe for vegan baked polenta fries, you are going to need to buy ready-made polenta – it comes pre-cooked in a cylinder like shape (it won’t be in the refrigerated section). Every grocery store should have it.

On a side note: the entire package of polenta is only 300 calories so if you’re trying to watch your weight then this is perfect for you!
